The search for three regional champions

Taking place across the 6th - 25th of October, IEM New York 2020 Online features three regional divisions; Europe, North America and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) with 32 teams in total competing for $250,000. The tournament will be awarding ESL Pro Tour (EPT) points towards IEM Katowice 2021 and Regional Major Ranking (RMR) points for the NA and CIS region.

6 invites
The current top 8 Regional Major Ranking teams from both CIS and North America, have received preliminary invites to compete at IEM New York Online. The invites are decided by their current position in their Regional table. Any point deductions based on Valves player transfer penalties leading up to, or included in the roster deadline for IEM New York Online will mean a team's invite will be reviewed and possibly revoked, depending on their position in the table after deductions are made. A further 4 preliminary closed qualifier invites have been sent to to the next 4 eligible teams based on their current position in the Regional table.

CIS

About IEM Global Challenge

Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge 2020 is set to bring CS:GO and players back to a LAN* environment for the first time since earlier this year. Taking place across December 15 - 20, the top 8 performing teams from IEM New York 2020, IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 and DreamHack Open Fall 2020 are invited to travel to Cologne, Germany, to compete at an Intel Grand Slam awarding tournament and their share of $500,000 USD.
