Important IEM Global Challenge Update

Important IEM Global Challenge Update

Dear CS:GO Fans,

As part of our existing processes & safeguards we've implemented to produce safe competitions and studio productions during the ongoing Corona pandemic, including regular testing of all production crew members, Tres "Stunna" Saranthus has been tested positive for Covid-19. Despite not even visiting our ESL studio in Cologne, several people from the broadcast team had brief contact with Stunna. They will be quarantined, and we will evaluate if and how they can potentially join the broadcast at a later stage, based on test results and medical advice.

As per our own guidelines, and in accordance with government and health authorities' recommendations and directives, Tres and any crew member who has potentially been in contact are quarantining, until we receive further results. In parallel, local authorities have already started contact tracing procedures. We’re also offering all members of production support to make sure they feel well and access to any help they might need.

Our top priority is to ensure the health and well-being of all employees involved, taking the necessary measures to avoid any further cases. Our Product team is currently modifying certain aspects of IEM Global Challenge to ensure we can still bring you the best CS:GO content to end the year.

We will update you as soon as we know more about Tres' health situation and will follow up on what is going to change for the IEM GC broadcast on Monday. Get well soon, Tres!
