A roster full of true legends will make their Intel® Extreme Masters Sydney debut after Ninjas in Pyjamas accepted the challenge to play at Australia’s premier esports mega event. Currently ranked 8th in the ESL CS:GO World Ranking, the Ninjas will try to recapture the same magic that took them to consecutive IEM Oakland crowns in 2016 and 2017. NiP is one of the most established organizations in the scene, with their competitive origins rooted in the Counter-Strike 1.0 days. They’ve been consistently among the top teams in CS:GO since the game’s launch in 2012. This longevity also includes two of their key players, f0rest and GeT_RiGhT, who have been the bedrock of this team since the very beginning. Both players have a deep history with IEM, having won the Season III World Championship in 2009 playing for Fnatic. Ten years later, they are still a force to be reckoned with. Aussie fans can look forward to enjoying some real old school talent. REZ, dennis and Lekr0 complete a roster with more than enough potential to rekindle their spark and challenge for silverware once again. Don’t miss out on IEM Sydney 2019. Inaugural Champions MIBR Head Back Down Under For IEM Sydney 2019

IEM Sydney will see the return of the all-Brazilian roster that won Australia’s first-ever Counter-Strike mega-event and defined an era in esports. Currently ranked 3rd in the ESL CS:GO World Ranking, MIBR are looking to recapture the glory days of 2016 and 2017, when their current roster dominated the CS:GO scene playing for SK Gaming. This era of brilliance also coincided with the first edition of IEM Sydney in 2017, which they won in commanding fashion. The MVP on that occasion, coldzera, was recently named the 10th best players in the world by highly-respected CS:GO specialist publication HLTV.org, a ranking he previously topped in 2016 and 2017. The fact that he’s the only former winner of this prestigious accolade that still features in the top 20 shows the level of play Australian fans can expect at IEM Sydney. After separating from the then-SK-Gaming roster at different points, felps and TACO recently rejoined the all-Brazilian effort in order to spark the magic that saw them dominate the game alongside stalwarts FalleN and fer once more. The Qudos Bank Arena awaits. Don’t miss out on IEM Sydney 2019. Click here to get your ticket! Stay up to date on all things Counter-Strike…
