Is there an age requirement?

The minimum age of entering the event alone (without a guardian or without parental consent) is 16. However persons between 13 and 16 years of age, need to bring a written consent letter from their parent or legal guardian.

Persons below 13 can only enter the event accompanied by a responsible adult.

Do all tickets guarantee a seat?

Yes. In our new model, all tickets guarantee a seat in a suitable sector.

What can I bring with me to IEM?

a. The following items are not allowed inside the event:
i. Firearms, weapons and sharp objects;
ii. Explosives and flares;
iii. Liquids in containers over 0.5 liters in volume, or in glass or metal containers (only plastic and paper containers are allowed);
iv. Alcohol and drugs;
v. Flags and banners, devices that make noise - without prior authorization from the organizer;
vi. Animals;
vii. Propaganda, racist, xenophobic and otherwise discriminatory materials;
viii. Posters, flyers or political pamphlets and other advertising materials;
ix. You are not allowed to bring bags and suitcases larger than 55x25x40 cm. A bag check will be available where you can leave your backpack for a fee of 20 PLN.

What else is happening across the weekend?

The event around IEM Katowice 2020 is all about gaming and esports! Next to the massive CS:GO event held in the fantastic Spodek Arena, you will be able to attend the amazing IEM Expo with loads of gaming related content and exhibitors and, not to forget, the prestigious StarCraft II tournament going on in the Auditorium and ending in the Spodek on Sundays.

What language will the Spodek Arena show be in?

Katowice main events have always been commentated in English and that won't change in 2020.

When does the ticket sales start?

The first wave of tickets sale start on Oct 31st, the second one on Dec 5th and the last one on Jan 16th. 2020

Will the ESL One held on the prior weekend as previous years?

Unfortunately, there won’t be anESL One Katowice this year.

I did not manage to get a ticket. Can I still attend the event?

The simple answer: Yes!
There are still free seats available in both the Auditorium and Spodek Arena (for CS:GO and StarCraft II). 
Just make sure to be there early enough to save yourself one of the free seats available!
Other than that, get ready to jump into a world of gaming with the IEM expo and a whole load of gaming related activities.

There will both be the CS:GO and the SC2 finals in Spodek on Sunday. How does it work?

In the morning, the grand final of SC2 will be held on the stage of Spodek Arena. People with a SC2 Premium ticket can sit in the infield during the finals. In the ranks, there will be free seating available - so better be quick and make sure to save yourself a free seat!

After that, everyone has to leave Spodek arena, even if you have a CS:GO ticket. After the arena got cleared, everyone with a CS:GO ticket can enter to sit in the designated areas. If you don't have a CS:GO ticket, you can still save one of the free seats in Spodek to enjoy the grand CS:GO final.
