Intel Extreme Masters returns to Cologne on December the 18th with a League of Legends tournament featuring six teams from around the world. The teams will battle it out for the coveted Intel Extreme Masters trophy over the course of three days, bringing fans everywhere top-notch League of Legends action.
Five out of the six participating teams have been chosen in a fan vote, one of them being Team Liquid, who came in second in the North American vote. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that Liquid has decided to withdraw from the competition due to player and visa issues.
Replacing Team Liquid will be the team who came in third in the North American vote - Team Dignitas. The team placed sixth on the NA LCS Summer Split and fifth/sixth in the Summer Playoffs. We will see a revamped Dignitas in Cologne, as the team welcomed three new players to their roster: top laner SmittyJ, jungler Kirei and ADC Apollo. We're looking forward to welcoming Dignitas back to Intel Extreme Masters Cologne and see what their new roster will bring to the competition.
