paiN Gaming fifth team to qualify for Intel Extreme Masters San Jose

The Brazilian qualifiers for Intel Extreme Masters San Jose concluded this weekend. More then 400 teams tried to qualify for the tournament, but their numbers were reduced to the top eight teams by Sunday, with paiN Gaming eventually finishing ahead of the competition and stamping their tickets to California.

On their path they knocked out INTZ in the first round and Worlds attendees KaBuM e-Sports in the semifinals. Captain Kami and his team kept their focus in the final series to beat out Keyd Stars 2-0 after rampaging through the single elimination bracket, managing to close out the qualifiers undefeated.

With paiN Gaming to represent Brazil at Intel Extreme Masters San Jose, five of the six participating teams have already been determined, with them to join Team SoloMid, Alliance, Cloud 9 and Unicorns of Love for the Bay-Area-based competition.

Only the South American slot is still up for grabs, and will be clinched by the grand final winners of the Riot Latin America Cup 2014 on November the 22nd.
