Qualifiers in Europe and America may have concluded, but players from both regions, as well as Asia, where qualification is still bound to happen, will have the chance to take part in the StarCraft II tournament at Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen.
As in previous seasons, we will host an Open Bracket at our StarCraft II spots, giving hopefuls who didn’t manage to qualify for whatever reasons a second chance at proving that they are worthy of being described as the World’s Best Gamers.
We’re introducing a small change to how the Open Bracket works in terms of slot distribution: while last season, we promised local players half of the spots, while giving the other half to the rest of the world, this season we have a clear number of slots distributed to certain countries.
For Shenzhen, the following slot distribution applies:
- 4 Global
- 2 Europe
- 2 Americas
- 4 Asia
- 2 China
- 1 Philippines
- 1 Japan
The slots will be filled on the basis of player applications. Below is a summary of what you need to do to apply.
